A Word of Advice Regarding the Use of Facebook for Anything Other Than Sharing Links Pointing to Your Content: | ||
| I want to note
here that everyone should be aware of the fact that you can have NO reasonable
expectation of anything you post on Facebook being there from one day to
the next. I would advise anyone and everyone to avoid putting any amount
of time or work into anything that will be stored directly on any of Facebook's servers.
I would advise you not to upload any photos directly to Facebook (other than profile pictures and cover photos), not to write anything
of any great length on Facebook, and to not post any content directly to
Facebook anywhere on their platform, with the exception of links pointing
to some other place where that content is stored. I learned this the hard way after losing my account for no justified reason... (Read more by following this link - opens in a new window) |

"The Grand Painter and the Cosmos"Acrylic on Canvas The first painting on canvas I had ever done. I began painting this sometime in 2018. |

"The Confidant"Acrylic on Canvas The second painting on canvas I made. This depicts an inner struggle of keeping something to one's self after having been told in confidence. The person is winning the struggle. |

Solid Red Oak CrossThis was the first time I had ever carved anything with my chainsaw. This was made at Moss Bluff Pentecostal church in Moss Bluff, Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. I carved it on September 20, 2020 and donated it to Crosspoint Biker Church as a token of appreciation for all they had done to help the hurricane victims in the area. |

The Pastor's CrossThis was the second carving I made on September 20, 2020 using my chainsaw and made from a very large oak tree that fell during Hurricane Laura. This cross was made specifically for Pastor Jared Pugh of Moss Bluff Pentecostal church as a token of appreciation for all he had done for the people in his area as well as for me while I was there helping people for free. Without him, it would have been far more difficult to perform the work I was doing in the area on a daily basis.

A photo showing the reverse side of The
Pastor's Cross. I found it interesting that the 'natural crucifix' was
there after I had carved the front side, and did not require any additional
thought or effort in order to place it there. I carved the front side,
the crucifix on the reverse was simply there. There wasn't a second that
went by from the time I arrived at Moss Bluff Pentecostal church and first
met Pastor Pugh until the time that I packed up and came home that I ever
had a doubt as to whether or not I was where I needed to be. God sent
me there for several reasons, and I hope that I completed what He wanted
me to while I was there.
I told the pastor that God was working miracles all around him, it is amazing the number of seemingly impossible things I witnessed and experienced during my stay in Moss Bluff behind his church. I told him the first night that I stayed in his parking lot that my boss liked him. He said, "Who is your boss?" I replied, "Christ." He liked that, though I'm not sure if he realized that I meant it in the most literal sense, and that is Whom I was working for while residing behind his church.

A Photo of me kneeling
down beside The Pastor's Cross just to give a reference and give you an
idea of the size of this piece. This portion of the tree did not come from the trunk of the tree, this was a section from one of the branches. The trunk of this tree was much, much larger. |

The Westlake CrossThis is the cross I carved into the tree stump of an enormous oak tree that had fallen in Westlake, LA during Hurricane Laura. The folks who own the property are in their 80's and just as kind as could be. It took a friend of mine and myself several days to chop it all up and get it all moved to the side of the road, and even though the saw I have is a good one, it was still a difficult job to do and it was quite taxing on the saw. I wanted to saw the stump down further, but it was just too massive and it would have taken me a week to do it with my saw. Since I had to leave any of the stump at all, I decided to put the cross there so they'd have something to look at while they were waiting on a stump grinder to get there.
