People Once Were Bold Enough to try a Grand Experiment in Freedom; Could We do that Once Again?
This is just an idea, and it is a first draft at that, so try to give this some thought in an open-minded way because this nation we live in is divided and polarized, and it isn't likely to change in a peaceful way if things keep going the way they are going now. This is just my "always finding a solution to a problem" side of me that never stops working.
This is just a rough draft, but think about it, it would fix a lot of our issues. We were once bold enough to consider and actually attempt a grand experiment in freedom and it worked beyond the wildest dreams of anyone in the world after it had begun. It pumped the world full of new creativity and innovations, inventions, and it changed peoples' lives around the world for the better in more ways than can be counted. We did that long ago, and we had far less to work with than we do now, could we not do this again in order to keep everyone from losing all we've invested in our country over the many generations that we've called it home?
We do need to make an adjustment in this country, to our government. Not a change so drastic as ushering in Communism or Socialism and imposing it on the entire nation as the political left would like to see happen;
The way I see it, we live in a nation where we have pretty much half and half, the election this year demonstrates that again. This race has been close even though biden has pulled ahead and probably will win this thing unless some type of major systemic fraud surfaces that they were involved in.
That said, why not have two Presidents, just as the Senate has a Majority and Minority leader. But allow the states that voted Republican to live and enjoy their lives under Republican policies, and allow the states that voted Democrat to live and enjoy their lives under Democratic policies. This would eliminate a HUGE amount of the fighting between the people in this country, it would prevent other forms of government from being able to creep into our own free nation and destroying the model we have that at least half of this country likes. None of us, not Democrats or Republicans would have to dread 4 to 8 years of policies they hate, they'd have the policies they like to live under around the decade, around the century, we could all be Americans to each other once again. We would still be one nation, but always controlled by two parties, and we would still have presidential elections every four years and people in Red or Blue states would still have the freedom to vote for a change in policy if they wanted to.
This would also cause bad policies to more easily surface and something would actually get done about them when they did, you wouldn't have one party always blaming the other for the problems we have, creating more problems to a never shrinking pile of them, and never solving any of them. This would actually get fixed because the only party to blame would be your own party. This would be a more fair way of life than force feeding half the country policies they don't like because a handful of people from the other party were the few ballots that put them at 51% and won their side the election.
